They are not popped out and clicky anymore....now they are like flat, and I have to press on them kind of firm to get them to work.....I just found it like this now when I went on youtube and went to turn the volume up....if I open the phone..do you think I can like, pop the things under the button back into place? and what type of a screw driver do I need to get these screws out

Uhhhh....I hate to ask you this question, but are you SURE you're pressing the right buttons? I don't even see how they could possibly be flat. After all it's really only one button that curves up and back down on each end.

Are you drinking? LOL

(teasing)

But seriously....top button on right side?

uhh yea they curve, but i mean they dont click anymore..u got to press them firm for it to go , up or down and nah i aint drinkin...and uhh...i hate to say it...but that was kind of a dumb question considering the only other two buttons are only one, while the volume has 2....

Well, I was really teasing with you but seriously I have never heard of this prob before. Maybe you pressed them so hard they broke or they were defective or something. At any rate it definitely sounds like a defect. Can you still take it back or.....is that out of the question now?

Crickets' policy for in-store replacement, without any type of insurance coverage,is very limited.Ten days,or 30 minutes of on-air time. After that, its between the buyer & Huawei. But,I would still go back to the point of purchase & state my case.
While with T-mobile,I was issued two POS phones, different models, back to back.Turned out both of them had recalls issued, but that didn't stop them from selling them.Talk about deceptive trade practices.I finally ended up w/a 3rd different model phone, one that worked well.I'm sure you're as persistent a man as I am,don't take no for an answer & get another phone!

KOLIO is right, NY!!! When they refurbished it they must have not put it back together right. That's a no brainer, come to think of it. Grrrrrr!

Go get em tiger!!!

LOL

it worked fine when I first got it, and then they just stopped clicking in and out correctly...what type of screw driver do I need to take these screws out? anyone know? it's a simple fix

I see 4 philips head screws and one torx head screw when I pull off the battery cover.

The moral of the story is: HULK NO SMASH PHONE!

Yeah, but I don't know the size of the philips screw driver I need

NY...I bet if you call one of those people who advertise flashing phones they could tell you. It's probably pretty generic...like the little screwdriver used to fix eyeglasses with, as an example.

Probably but I don't have a torx screw driver either

You don't need an exact fit for the philips screws to get them out. If you've got what Jazziette mentioned, a mini-screwdriver set, one of them will almost always work. And for a torx head, you can use a flat head screwdriver if you find one that is the right width. I've done that multiple times.

I don't have a mini set or a small enough flat head to get in there... so I will need to buy 1

well none of these philip bits fit my phone :( i got the torx out tho, and the flat head is like a hair too big....I AM SO PISSED....i need to know the exact size of these philip screws
