Root something weird going on

ok so i have GB and inigo's bobrom with a2sd and go launcher. when my phone reboots (by itself sometimes) it gets to the media scanning and as soon as its finished it reboots again and agian like three or four times. and today all of a sudden it force closed go weather, pandora, phone, and facebook. i had to pull the battery. anybody have any ideas?

You mention your using bobrom, have you tried asking where ever you got your "bobrom"?

bobrom is burred in a thread somewhere. inigomontoyasr made it pretty early on when GB released. I can't even remember what it featured. It may have just been some de-bloat+deodex+custom kernel
 
I thought I saw it once, and I belive if I think i saw what i thought I seen<-- makes perfect sense. It was the chinchecka GB odin file with darktremors a2sd added????? I might be wrong but I swear I saw that setup somewhere once before
 
it's the odin image in my darktremor thread. it's not hidden. it's not chin's.

it's all stock gb, rooted, deodexed, koumakernel 1.0, cwm 5.x.x.x, a2sd installed. only app change is stock launcher (broke when deodexed) replaced by adw launcher.

i posted it to eliminate the google authentication error some were getting with chin's and a2sd is already set up. then if you flash a rom, just reinstall a2sd.

has it always rebooted like that or just after you changed something? i'll pull it if it has always rebooted randomly. it's gotten 87 downloads so far without any other reported errors.

i installed bob about 2 weeks ago i think but it only started rebooting like that a week ago. the force closes started after i installed go launcher got rid of go and force closes stop. but still reboots weird and whenever it wants.:confused:

im gonna go thru and look at my apps and see when they were downloaded see if i can pinpoint what apps i put on when it started doing this i feel kinda dumb if im the only one. i love your stuff inigo this is killing me
 
don't take it like that, it's nothing on you. i'm just wondering if it's an app or the rom so i can pull it if i need to.

i have a feeling its an app cause i just intentionally rebooted and when media scanner was just about to finish i hit app killer and it didnt reboot. so now i guess ill just go thru my apps and uninstall reboot uninstall reboot so on and so on till i figure it out. crappy but gotta get this fixed. will post results. really dont think it has anything to do with bob ive never had any issues with your stuff.

You'd probably have an easier time starting from scratch and installing your apps one at a time

F****ng titanium backup! uninstalled and BAM no more reboots whenever it feels like it. dont know why the app was causing it but..whatever. whats a good alt. to titanium?
 
Try Root Uninstaller. Pro is much cheaper than titanium, less features tho (no schedule). Still does the job.
 
hey inigo i think my phone is just a piece of s**t now when i turn on bluetooth adw acore or something like that force closes and phone shuts down then immediatly comes back up then does it again untill i pull battery.

thought about it and decided to go back to stock GB,with cwm5, rooted i think its chin's and then do a2sd. just start all over this is too damn frustrating trying to figure this out.

you probably removed music.apk, its required for bluetooth
