Sony Playstation 1 (PSX) on Android working and coming soon!

Dope roms has a ton of ROMS that are easy to download. Use an unecm program and WinRar. Its really easy. Been playing: Twisted Metal. Resident Evil. Vagrant Story. FF7. Crash Bandicoot 2. Crash Bandicoot Warped. Wipeout. Love this app!!!
 
Yea with 2.2 I have no issues at all with the games unless the rom is bad. I tried a twisted metal 4 rom and it only filled up half the screen heightwise. It wasn't because of my screen settings either.
 
Quick note that apparently the Zeemote is working with PSX4Droid via the GamePro drivers, good news for those of us with phones that don't yet play nice with WiiMotes...
 
Well I have had this for a week, it worked great but now at times the screen flickers / flashes like a strobe... im on a desire stock, its random and happens on all games when the issue is there. Cannot see any reason this would happen, also I get a bar at the top showing the current fps and other data!!

Also when I extract the rar files I always get IMG files, so all my games are running as IMG, how can I get BIN files instead, and are there any performance differences between the file types?

Yes. You have one screen buttons. Since phones like the Dx has a widescreen format anyway, the buttons are mostly displayed off the play field.
 
I know I'm a cheap bastard, but I think $5.99 is a bit steep. Free emu for the PC ported for android at 6 bucks. I appreciate the work that went into it... I doubt it was a truly simple project. If there was a ad supported Lite version like "yongzh"s emu's have, then I might be more willing to pay... once I've made sure it plays well with my phone and all.

Also, I wonder if id is gonna have ZodTTD's "quake4droid" yanked off the market like they did with the other quake ports. (and some of those were free)

Regardless, sounds cool and good job.
 
update on the flashing, flickering screen or random colors, when you close the app i dont think it fully closes, then trying to run a new game this causes the flickering issue. If i go to settings and then manage apps, I go to force close on psx4droid, then restarting the app, the problem goes! thought it worth mentioning in case others have the same issue!
 
Even on the powerhouse droid x I gave up on it after a week or so of fifddling around. Most games either had sound or control issues, or were too slow to enjoy.

Maybe once the 2.2 is released on it I'll revisit it again.
 
does anyone know how to get cheats files to work on this emulator, i really mean how they need to be compiled to get them working?...................sudeki300
 
Epic 4G+WWF Smackdown 2= EPIC SMACKDOWN!

Can anyone tell me if Smackdown 1 or 2 works? I would buy it as soon as I get my Epic if it does.
 
anyone play parasite eve or any game that doesnt save when you change discs on this? Anyone know how to continue a game that doesnt let you save when you switch discs?
