Help Sounds are corrupted??

How do I get rid of sounds in my phone? Both phone ringtones and notifications ringtones? My phone has been acting weird latelly and stays stuck when either receiving a message or receiving a phone call (perhaps) I had to turn the phone off so that the sound stopped last night...

You could try and pull battery, then hold power button down for 30 sec.
If that doesn't help try going to menu/settings/privacy. Select the reset option.
This can only be done if your not rooted. It will brick rooted phone's

Nah I am not rooted...


I have a couple of software pieces (one of them is Notes) that wont back up... Any suggestions? Or id the reset option different than bringing the phone back to factory settings?

When you do the factory reset it will wipe all user data. You will have to sign back into and sync your google account, and download all your apps. Your paid apps will be in the "My Apps" section of the market.
