Welcome to Android Forums! I have a DX but I don't understand your question. Can you clarify?
 
You have to make it the default launcher. When you install a new launcher, the first time you go back to your "home" you should get a pop up asking which launcher to "complete action using". Check the default box at the bottom of the pop up and select the SPB 3D launcher.

If the stock launcher is still set as default:
Settings / Applications / Manage applications / All (tab) / scroll to Home and select
Select Clear defaults under Launch by default (if it's not greyed out)

If that doesn't work...there's an app for that:
Home Switcher or
Home Switcher Froyo (if the 1st one doesn't work on your phone)
