What are you using? What's speeds are you getting?

Please let's share the feedback.

I been using Wireless Tether for Rooters and I do about 2MBs download.
For a free service boy that is great right :D

I haven't try the 3G hotspot any one wants to share that? also PDnet?

Do I use the tether a lot? not really!! Only when I got a place with no wifi and I want to use the laptop ;)

i been using the hotspot hack and it works ok at times, not the fastest thing in the world, i havent tried downloading anything yet, but it does work for me, the wireless tether for rooted users never allowed internet access for me so i gave up on that one,
if someone tells me how they got an ad hoc connection to get internet access id be glad to hear about it lol

The new Wireless Tether for Rooted Users allows infrastructure connections (same as Hotspot) and works great... I used it when our internet goes down, haven't had a problem yet. I used to get the same problem as you with the old Wireless Tether, but the new one in market works.

quick question... i am rooted and running liberty and have the wireless tether for root and it works. will i not get charged through verizon for the 3g hot spot this way?

My wireless tether stopped working after the Verizon system update last month. My titanium backup says no root privelages. What do I do?

you can reroot using z4 root. Do a good search and you will find it.

The program I use and seems to work everytime I use it is PDANet. Works great everytime and is well worth the money.

I've never been able to get it to work either.

What I had to do was go into TiBU, erase data for Wireless Tether, then uninstall it. Then go back to the market, intall it from there, and reissue root access.

This worked for me. Makes the same connection the hotspot makes without always having to flip airplane mode on and off. Awesome!

Oh and PDAnet was SLOW in comparison. Sort of like dial up vs high speed internet... but it's not quite THAT slow. It was what I used before I rooted, and sure it worked. But it doesn't compare to Wireless Tether. I would only use it if my computer didn't have a wireless router.
