Help Speed Test Results

New to Android. I was AT&T with all versions of the iPhone, but now back to Sprint after a while, and I have the EVO 4G.

...anyway, running the Speed Test app, and my speeds are horrible. I have full signal with 3G, and with a server close by, and I'm at:

Down: 65, 100, 16, 145
Up: 196, 115, 103, 48

I doubt this has to deal with coverage. Anything I can do to improve this?

Welcome to the forums . Have a look at this thread. It's easier if you have root, but possible without it. Try it out, and see if it helps.

that thread can definitely help in most cases. If it does not work contact sprint and let them know you have 3g connectivity issues. You may have a tower down.


also test your speeds out and about at different locations. from what sprint tells me your phone can switch as often as every .3 miles...but usually every 1.5 miles...all depending on where the towers are of course.
