Root Speed up the Android Market and 3g

Android markets takes a good 4-6 seconds to load up all its contents on wifi but on 3g it could take a while. Well today im here to show you a solution on how to speed it up and and not just the market 3g too i found the fix while hanging out over at the XDA forums.

Open the app and allow superuser access

Tap on google DNS, when you do that there should be a list of DNS you can use. Choose OpenDNS hit apply and press the home button

Then test the market and web out you should see a major difference on the android market loading and while surfing the web on 3g

No your only speeding up the 3g or wifi, they wouldnt even care if you changed your prl. Although since your on sprint if you change or prl to a verizon one you will be paying roaming charges:O, but if you only change the dns its not a problem.

ok so i did all of the above and its true i sped up my 3g and the market and most browsing on the web...buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut.....
new problem is i cant videos on some webpages. it just keeps loading? lil help?

Above is an example. Sites that play video on the site seem to work ok but sites that take u to html player don't seem to work. At least that's what I think is happening.

Works fine for me, i tried it on 3g and wifi it took about 30 seconds for it to load on 4 signal bars and instantly on wifi.

Everytime I try it tries to load (totally black screen with loading and a circle above it) but after about a min says can't be played??

Yes it works for both boost and sprint version

So we know why it does this?? Even switching back to uart doesn't seem to resolve it :-(

Is it the YouTube app or YouTube in the browser that breaks when you change your DNS? 3g or Wifi? I just tried the YouTube app on 3g and again on wifi after setting DNS to Google's 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 and it works fine. (Sprint version)
