Spirit owners

Funny thing, my local corp store had the dock the day after the Spirit was released, but not the Spirit. Go figure. :)

Sammyz, before I got the case for my OM, I had dropped it several times (including a couple of times the day I got it) and every time I dropped it, the back popped off and battery came out.

I got the LG Spirit and have yet to look back. While I took a pretty hefty hit when selling off the LG Motion I previously had, I have no regrets thus far. To those of you talking about how delicate it is/feels, I counter that this phone begs to be handled with care and delicacy. I want to take great care that I never drop it ever.

I also bought a case for it that came with a better screen protector. Whatever it is, it's made the whole touch thing work very smoothly. And the size is just right. To me, I couldn't be any happier if this was the Samsung Galaxy SIII itself.

And while it's a bit on the expensive side, if you're able to afford it, then I recommend getting it. And even though it doesn't have Jelly Bean, it at least has Ice Cream Sandwich, and personally I feel it still has some in-the-now life to it yet.

In short, I'm very happy with this phone. It does everything I want it to and then some. Just make sure to get MetroGuard. In this case, it'll likely be worth it.

Right now this is the only thing i find wrong with it as well. Mostly b/c i hold it sideways for most of my games.

I like custom molded snug fitting cases, if any at all. I usually go for the Invisi-shield from Zagg. That thing is freaking awesome, but they don't have a custom cut yet for the Spirit. Don't think I'll be getting the back from Zagg for it, the Spirit is textured, so I don't think it will adhere that well.

The rubber/gel cases annoy me because they always stick to the inside of my pocket. Anyone seen anything where it's a hard smooth case on the outside and still provide some drop protection?

This is the one I have on my Motion. I'd be REALLY happy to see them come out with one like it for the Spirit. The top pieces back is perfed for better grip but just the corners and sides are the grippy Silicone. Sooo, it doesn't stick in a pocket for me.

I hold my phone in my left hand, that's one reason i keep hitting it, also taking it out of the holster the button keeps hitting the side. also weird having the volume on the left side. Every Phone I've had has it on the right:rolleyes:

:confused: A lot of the phones that Metro has, have the volume on the left; SGS3, any of the LG's, even the Google LG Nexus 4 has the volume on the left (yes, I know this isn't a Metro phone).

To me the layout makes sense, hold the phone on palm of your hand, index finger can easily access the volume rocker, thumb has access to power button without repositioning phone. Had the power been on top some users would find themselves reaching for it or reposition the phone. Just imo.

I Agree... I can use the phone more comfortably with one hand without repositioning. I can also take a screen shot by holding down power with thumb and volume down with index. This comes in handy when I'm on the move and 1 hand is occupied.

I can also see how this layout is not for everyone.

To each their own, use it how you like lol. It doesn't work for me, I like the power button on the top being that I'm not lazy, and don't use my phone while driving.:p

the way you describe the supposed reasoning for the layout sounds like you work for LG haha, trying to convince us you can't be wrong:p I kid I kid

More often than not, I will have the phone testing on the 4 fingers of my right hand, with the thumb and index finger of my left holdng the upper left and bottom right corners for stability. I will then use my right thumb to do the scrolling, tapping, Swyping, etc.:)
