Must have S-OFF

1) Download
2) Reboot into bootloader
3) When it asks if you want to apply the update, press Volume Up
4) When it is finished, press power to reboot
5) Congratulations! You will see the splash screen whenever you boot up or reboot.
6) Delete PG86IMG from the sdcard. This is optional, but if you don't, it will keep asking you if you want to apply the update whenever you boot into bootloader.

If anybody wants to use the splash screens posted over on xda for the Evo 3D you have to replace the android-info.txt inside the zip with the one inside the zip here.

Thank you very much! I tried changing the splash screen before but it never worked. And now it has been changed :)

Thanks. Like the dark look much better. I did have it hang on the boot animation. If that happens to anyone pull the battery and remove sd card. Reboot to bootloader and go to recovery. Clear cache and reboot. Should boot after that. Then I had to pull battery to get sd card back. Booted fine finally (found these directions on anthrax forums but it worked).

Had this happen too. Figured I needed to wipe cache and dalvik, and I knew I couldn't get there through bootloader, but 4ext wouldn't load with no SD card in for me. I threw a blank spare one in there and wiped cache. Worked fine.

4ext loaded for me without the sd card. It was just very slow and loaded into Sade mode.

Safe mode for me with other SD because of cache. But it may have loaded for me without one. I got tired of waiting after like 30 seconds ;)

Not my favorite but this is what I'm using

I made this particular splash. I based it off a similar one that had a bit lower resolution so I just remade it to look more sharp. The other one was here Anthrax Development - Home of the first custom shooter ICS kernel
It's there a good tutorial on how to make splash, i did some searching a few days ago, but didn't get any lucky, i like messing around with photoshop, would like to make some splash images on my free time, to shared, will appreciate any tips or help.

I used this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193698

You can get the android-info.txt file from the zip in the first post and use it to make your own. If you use the regular evo 3d file I don't believe it will work for us.

thanks a lot, will give it a try.

I'm s-off and I got the file on a download folder
You need to place it on the root of sd card, not inside of a particular folder, just drag it to your sd card, then reboot to bootloader again.
