Finally got it to work for me... I was having tons of trouble with nbimg not calculating color integers correctly when it was converting to an img. So, my colors are a bit off, but this is my new splash screen:

Looks a bit pixelated because I had to stretch it to fit, but it looks nice on the phone IMO. Let me know if you'd like it different in any way!

Can't forget the sox fan either. If you want something more traditional it's no problem.

These could look better with some gradient colors, or some blending, but I'm not all that adept with the image editor.
