I was watching Top Gear (USA) about a month ago and they got to drive the Veyron Vitesse. They mentioned that there is 1 place in the US authorized to do the tires...somewhere around $50,000 or so.

It'll be fine for you (Virgin Mobile). I was just directing that comment to ramjet73 (Sprint), but to be honest I don't think it really matters what you set it to if you're S-OFF. Could be wrong on that, though.

I also prefer flashing these manually via fastboot, personally.
[HIGH]fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img[/HIGH]It doesn't matter what the splash1.img portion is named. Flashing it that way allows you to check that the image flashed successfully by selecting the recovery option from bootloader right after you flash. From there, you can wipe cache if need be, without having to reboot the phone to get there first.
One thing to keep in mind is that when you go into the recovery from bootloader, a previously "hidden" white progress bar shows up on your splash image on the right-hand side of the screen. On a normal boot/reboot, this will not be visible.

I made it landscape. I found it tricky making a decent portrait version. I'm not very good with graphic design type stuff. I can make a splash out of an image, but not really good at major editing. If you don't like it, I can try something else.
This thread made me want to make a new splash screen. Here's my new splash.

Haha yeah. It doesn't take too long. Just a matter of making sure the image is the right size and converting it to a .img file for the bootloader
Plus yours was easy to do. It's harder using wallpapers and stuff that are meant to be landscape. Yours didn't require much tweaking, Just had to fill in the background with a little extra black as it was a little shorter than 960 px.
Edit: just saw your edit. No I didn't stretch it. As mentioned above I painted the background black as there were white borders at the top and bottom because the image was shorter than 960px

Thank you so much. Going to flash this on the way to work! So I just edit the file name and flash in bootloader or don't rename it and flash it in 4ext?
Yes edit the file name. Just delete everything before PG86IMG. Also, I think you should wipe cache/dalvik before flashing. I flashed a new one yesterday and phone didn't want to boot. Then when I got into recovery, it was in safe mode saying I needed to wipe cache. So I did, and then phone booted and all was good.
