[SPOILERS] Walking Dead Discussion

guessing....

since they are very secretive and protective of their place...
if someone does not workout.. do they really let them just leave?

I don't read the books or comics or anything outside of watching the show, so it's all a surprise to me when stuff happens. Yeah the body parts & the W are definitely weird things that must mean something. But as far as other people, I think it'll be interesting when/if some other group shows up & causes havoc, when Rick's group has been moving around for a while now & hasn't really run into anyone but walkers.
I don't read the comics either. I assumed those body parts and the W represented something.....and its not good. I truly feel that little girl in Alexandria has something to do with whoever is behind it. We are witnessing the calm before the storm.

The townspeople of Alexandria suck! They're horrible shots, they're fine with leaving one of their people to get eaten, & they use noisy guns out where they can alert even more walkers to their location. Ugh!!

Plus they don't know how to listen. Noah and Aiden got killed because people didn't listen to Glen. They should have killed or left behind the d-bag that got Noah killed.
Preacher boy totally threw the rest of the group under the bus. He only survived because of Rick's group and that's how he repays them? What about him leaving his flock to die? Dick.

Father Dick!

LOL fixed that for ya!

Yeah, wouldn't you think they'd be smart enough to listen & learn from the people who managed to stay alive out in the big bad world? But no....
The priest's betrayal of the group at the end was a big surprise, although I was laughing when he told Deanna "they've done bad things" because he only knows what they've done since meeting him :D

-FYI for anyone who doesn't watch Talking Dead after, I love their nickname for Carol after last week's convo with the kid - "Scarol"
And Pete has been dubbed "Porch Dick" which also seems fitting!

I just saw this on another thread... unfortunately it's kinda true.

What a crazy episode. That had to be one of the most brutal deaths I've seen yet. Yes, the people of Alexandria sucks. They need Rick's crew more than ever.

There's still the preacher and Sasha so, more than one. (besides Michonne) I'm not buying it, just a coincidence. People just die on this show. That's what they do.

Yeah that's simply not true. All Maggie's family have been killed, including Hershel, Beth, and the forgettable brother. Then there's Andrea, Dale, Andrea's sister, Rick's wife (forgotten her name), oh and there was the killer flu and zombie outbreak in the prison. Too many to mention. That's not even counting bad guys like Governor, Shane, Merle... actually the statistics are looking to be the other way round.

That flow chart is amusing though.

Gotta be creative with the swears on basic cable. :p
There's a major character in the books that every other word is F or MFer, curious how they'll handle that if they use him on the show.

Actually Porch Dick is kind of something that Chris Hardwick made up by accident as a stream of thought kind thing while he was talking. He liked how it sounded and said it would probably trend and one of his guests on the couch ran with it and sent it out.

Lots of options... fudge, farfegnugen - my daughter used to use "barfinator" when she was a teenager, so even though it doesn't start with an F I like it [emoji6]

Barfinator...cute, but not exactly menacing lol. Reminds me of the old Valley Girl speak, like totally gag me with a spoon. :D
I do find it distracting to hear ridiculous substitute curse words used, especially when they are dubbed into movies. Snakes on a Plane is a particularly (unintentionally) hilarious example.

Well you would be limiting viewership if you moved it to HBO or Netflix-only, so you have to make due I guess.

Some actors are more enjoyable when they swear though....Samuel L Jackson swears in all of his best roles. He should not be allowed to do PG-13 movies anymore......

So, what does everyone think about the upcoming Walking Dead spinoff? I knew it was coming but didn't realize it was going to be so soon (this summer). I have mixed feelings. I mean, I'm sure I'll watch it, and it'll probably even be good, but it just seems like such a money grab. Hopefully it won't end up like those terrible CSI-type shows with one in every city.
Short article about the spin-off in case some weren't aware of it:
