Sprint is adding a $10 per month "premium data" fee for 3G data on all smartphones. It would take effect after you upgrade to a new smartphone or activate a new line. See this article here: http://phandroid.com/2011/01/18/sprint-all-smartphones-to-be-subject-to-10-data-premium/ .
This news stinks, but at the same time it makes it seem obvious to get a 4G as an upgrade the next time you are eligible. That is, of course, unless Sprint is going to charge ANOTHER $10 per month on top of that.
