Root Sprint based roms?

I was just reading through some posts and saw something that intrigued me. Is there a way to flash a Sprint based rom and use the NASCAR App that they exclusively have? Kind of like Verizon with the NFL?

Interesting idea, DaveM1.

Just a thought: if you don't get an answer to that right away, you can help the community a bit by doing a nand backup of your current ROM, flashing one of the Sprint ported ROMs, attempting to install the app you want and reporting your success or failure. ;)

Question on the nand back up. When i do a nand back up of my current xtr rom will it save everything so when i flash back to this current rom i am using everything will be in place when i left it? Apps and all the settings the same?

Yes, that's what's so nice about that feature called nand backup/restore; it does restore your device as it was right before doing the backup.
 
Update.. just flashed the NASCAR app to the xtr rom and when i open it is tries to load and shows the Nascar icon but eventually get a FC, tried a reboot and another FC. So now to flash the Aloysius.
