Root sprint/boost differences?

i've had the design since oct when it came out from sprint and i'm currently running saragon19's updated ics boost leak rom over at sdx. i guess that what i really want to know is..... what is preventing me from being able to flash a stock boost rom on my sprint design?

He is pretty much asking if people with sprint version can just flash a na.droid frm boost to a sprint version to get ics and sense.

As long as your radio information isn't changed you can use the Boost ICS on a Sprint phone on the Sprint network. (ESN swaps are only involved in porting to other carriers).

So mainly, you will have to change the MMS URL to get MMS to work as Sprint and Boost use different hosts to handle MMS transfers. There may be one or two small things you may need to tweak that I'm not aware of. I've never been on Sprint. :P

Though your phone's ability to roam "might" be affected by using the Boost ICS since roaming isn't currently allowed by Boost so they might have put in controls in their OS to restrict it.

I would also add to not flash another carrier's ruu to your phone. A Ruu flashed with hboot will change your radios & hboot with a high possibility of brickage. You can extract the rom.zip from the ruu & create a flashable zip to flash in recovery or flash in hboot by creating a ph44img.zip. That way you leave the radios & hboot alone.

I haven't changed my radio or hboot. And I was under the impression you needed to be s-off to flash radios and hboot. And I would def not flash someone elses backup. I smoke........ But not THAT much.......hahaha. Anyway thanks for all the input.
