Hello again. I suppose you all thought this was a dead project. It took me a while, and there is a ways to go, but this thread marks the beginning of the real deal. You will need to get the newest gapps from here : Gapps - CyanogenMod

I will ignore ALL "when will this work" posts. I welcome anyone to help with the code by forking my repos on github and issuing a pull request for fixes. I will try and preserve all commit history so credit goes to those who help.

Massive credit goes to CM and the entire crew working to make this ROM awesome. Also thanks to the #apexqtmo for their diligence and good practice in porting the kernel for the apexqtmo and to jt1134 who ported the kernel for expressatt. I used their examples as I modified our kernel.
 
WORKING:
Buttons
Camera 1 (away from user, photo and panorama only)
Charging
SDCARD
Gallery
DATA
SMS
SOUND
Video recording on AWAY camera. Even Focal works. (ups to lbcoder and nard)

NOT WORKING:
WIFI
Bluetooth
MTP is in and out
Everything else

My device isn't active so IDK about telephony and messaging. Notify me and I will update the post.
 
lte on full bars. Just got a text. Called someone and they got the call but couldn't hear each other.
 
I was saying that with Victorious and ended up with Sprintorious. I have a feeling that with a lot of patience, we all get one good result ;)
 
do you think the prima symlink fix will work for this, or will someone have to write a wifi module driver?
 
Wifi works fine for other devices. Other devices actually have fully working radios all around. Other versions also have a completely different GPIO configuration. This device has gimped pins and I'm having a hard time getting it all to work. Same reason only one camera works. The driver sends to a specific pin, but for this board that pin is not at the same address as the other boards.
 
You're right, there is a new updated version, 10/21(?)

If anyone tried to see if wifi or bluetooth works now, please reply back, thanks.
 
New owner of the Victory, just came from an LG Optimus V...so rooting and experimenting has become second nature for me...

I would love to flash this ROM, not a fan of prop. software overlays built in, prefer stock and then if I wanna theme it, I'll theme it. In any case...no changelog...no wifi would be a problem, 4G LTE where I work is spotty and sometimes non-existent.


UPDATE: Flashing now...backed up my rooted stock just in case. See how this goes!
 
That was a no-go. I wiped system, data (without media), dalvik and cache. Flashed ROM, then Gapps, booted.

Stuck on the logo. No way a ROM needs 15 minutes to boot.
 
Ironically, I flashed this to a stock backup, then when it wouldn't boot flashed plutonium over it thinking it'd wipe everything and it booted -_- wth
 
Hi. Changelog can be found on cyanogen gerrit like anything based on CM. I think what everyone is looking for is an update to the whats working and whats broken list which we'll call fixlog because we like names. The bad news is that not much has changed. I have racked my brains, read books and tried asking people how to get some of this stuff fixed to no avail. I had to loan my device out for several weeks so I haven't done much. I'm not sure how some of these guys can commit so much time to working on Android, but I have a very limited amount myself. I have six kids. It's just crazy sometimes. I finally got the device back and I'll be merging code tonight from gerrit. Look for another build in the next 48, but the oldest build still works best.
 
thanks. I can do without Bluetooth for the moment...but WIFI is a must, it was very gut-wrenching and battery draining at work when I had my Optimus V and I would flash CM builds with the WIFI totally borked...I'll wait.

Thanks for your work! I don't know how you do it. If I had 6 kids, I'd be using two cups and some string for communication, not messing with ROMS. :)
