Root [Sprint/Cricket] Jellybean bro?!

On it now. So far.... Awesome. Modem is making me sweat its so much faster/efficeint. Google now is working 100percent and scrolling/opening closing etc is seamless. So far the most stable build i have checked out. I likey

weird... i just noticed i lost root during the process... but it still boots into cwm?!

not a biggie, just noticing if anyone else had this?

so far so good, normal day, from the looks im still going to get 8-10+ hours of my moderate usage, maybe a bit more.
i did have to uninstall and re-install a few apps due to fc's, come to find out, they still work, just from the jb i guess. i have yet to try google wallet (broke till friday) but will report if it works even with the warning of unsupported device (still shows cards active) camera has a new "effects" tab, built in filter, video cam now has the option for mms sized. dolphin beta, now that doesn't want to work 100% like its missing a plug in or something, so i mix between dolphin and stock.

now idk if it's me, but again, the scrolling and opening of apps is alot smoother then before, it had some trail lag before from where my finger was, but now it barley has any! the notifications bar when dropped down has a nice visual to it, time/date/weather, though we did loose some quick buttons... now the vibrate/silence/sound option it with the power button (hold down for a sec) and if you know about the easter egg deal, try this one, but rub the jelly bean ;-)

i'll report more for those who are interested, in another day or so.

Root was address in the video and in several posts of the original forum.

Those camera features are in ICS already (I'm currently running ICS stock now and can vouch).

I can agree with you it is ridiculously smooth. And I don't know why the changed some toggles and put them in the power menu.

never got into my camera while on ics, just swapped back and forth from auto focus and macro mode.... the video wasnt coming up earlier on my pc or phone saying something was invalid, but i will give it another go now, i kinda rushed through the original xda post (had work) but i am on there now!

thanks for the heads up Mjunkie!

edit; odd, as i flashed the rom, then the modem, then superuser, then twrp... i'll be under going some flashing again...

Just wanted to share my yummy treat. I did have the same lock screen problem I just changed the time out setting and all seems to be ok now.

i love that easter egg deal! you can fling jelly beans off the screen too!

still no twrp, just cwm... i can live with it for now. got root back by reflashing twrp, yet still cwm! aggravating but doable for now.

on a side note.... my copy/paste function freezes my phone in my email.... looking for a solution, i am about to try the data/clipboard delete.

Try GooManager in the Play Store. That's what I used to install TWRP.

Press the menu key, Install Open Recovery Script, select yes, and reboot after that. I already have it installed and don't feel like installing it again, lol.

I may be a little critical of the battery life, but it definitely seems a little poor from normal. My keyboard also glitches out a bit, like it has a few bad image files when it loads certain keys. But other than that, it's nice to see Jelly Bean and it's mostly working. I doubt this is the final version, though, as some features are missing. Like voice commands for input. I also don't like it how power saver and blocked mode can only be turned on/off from the settings menu now.

To get wallet to work as a supported device: Force close GWallet, open SU (or SuperSU), temp unroot (or disable root in SuperSU), then boot GWallet again. It'll be a supported device and then you can turn root back on.

I used GWallet yesterday on the leak and it worked just fine.

I still have the problem with my screen going black and the menu and back key are lit anybody know how to fix this? The only fix I have is to hold the power button till it shuts down then power it back up.

I have voice search and s-voice works. What kind of voice commands are missing?

In the ICS builds of TouchWiz, you can go to Language & Input and enable "Voice Cmd for Input". It appears to be missing from the JB leak we got to play with this weekend.

What this does is enable you to do what you see in the S3 commercials. Like saying "Shoot or Smile" to get the camera to take a picture. Saying "Accept or Reject" to get the phone to answer/reject the phone call. Features like that. I used the photo one a lot.

I would be surprised if Samsung/Sprint would remove those features, so I just assume that they were focused on making the build work primarily and adding the extra features in as a secondary priority.

After 12hrs i started to see little points of awake time. After i enabled everything in googlenow.
Couple more bugs
Touchwiz home, trying to delete a page.
Copy/paste crash only in email

As for the keyboard, i use swiftkey... Gonna have to switch to the sammy to see how mine is going.

Thanks for the headsup in gwallet! Gonna do that now.

What scares me about your battery issue is other us carriers that had an update people have been reporting bad battery management.

Oh. And our cell standby seems to have been fixed with the false numbers.
