Root [Sprint] (L720t) Odin & TWRP stock

I've been waiting a long time! Currently downloading via Sprint Spark ;) I will flash and report results. My backup is still CM 11[/QUOTE]

I must be blind or something...I clearly didn't take notice of this saying MK5. 4.3 JELLYBEAN ROOTED STOCK? Seriously?? I flashed this and was disappointed. Took up a TON of memory, WiFi didn't work and now I'm back on a nightly CM. I know a lot of work probably went into this but I went in assuming it was stock rooted 4.4.2...smh

Still waiting for a stock rooted 4.4.2 KITKAT ROM....

I'm sorry jackroo.. I did put the update version.. I think I'll be picking it back up in a day or so.. Hope I have better luck this time. Lol

Im hoping your hard work will pay off. Any luck on an upload on mega or could you possibly email it to me? I can pm you my email

* on a side note...I've been testing the limits on what my phone will download and 1gb+ files over Sprints network (not wifi) are doable so I'm ready for stock rooted nc6

This should do it. :) It is a stock rooted 4.4.2 TWRP v. 2.7.0.1 backup. Remember to unzip to your sd and let it keep its original name. then make a quick backup in the same recovery (same version and all) then copy this whole folder to the same location with your new backups name like this ones. (all Datie and numberz lol). anyway after that off to TWRP and restore. reboot and do all the updates and even factory reset if needed. Solid ")
Tested on my and my gf's l720t

Rock on man! I cannot wait till after work to try this! Thank you very much Dais!

Warning this ay not be fully rooted anymore. Just make sure youve got your backup and youll be fine. Im retesting it so i know its got root or not. *&%$% pulling links for the moment.

Okay I'll have to re-name the backups but the first one seemed to lose root. This one has been tested several times now. uploading as I type.

New (Tested-Rooted) Backup here... https://www.mediafire.com/?o7214d78r13n4ok

Any errors try and write down for me. It will help me get it working. You might just have to diable the MD5 check. ;)

Following up on what I replied with above: obviously I didn't follow directions BUT I'm sort of curious as to why it won't work with cwm? Also I have ROM manager from the play store and I tried to update my recovery to TWPR and it won't let me. Its like its stuck on CMW

Different formating on backups. Did you try my ROM installer method? If still no luck.. I'd call the friend that rooted it and see if he can help out again...

I will check out your ROM installer method tonight and hopefully it'll work. I appreciate the work you put into this :)

I really hope it works. I've been having freezing/lock ups on any Rom I've used lately. I'm going insane. My systemui kept fc'ing so I copied over another from aosb and gave it rw-r-r permissions to get it to stop. Worked like a charm. But still having freezing issues. I'm done developing for awhile. :)

I recently flashed a nightly CM and it was tripping! FC, glitchy freezing etc! I'm on the snapshot "stable" ROM now and it's been alright. When I sync my Bluetooth to my Corolla Apollo FCs and I have to manually go into my phone to clear it. That's the frustration with custom ROMs: they don't always run 100%. But if you stick with the factory out of the box OS you're stuck with bloatware :(

I have a lot of respect for those who develop cuz I can see it's difficult :/ I honestly don't know much about development and stuff but I'd like to learn more. I took a HTML CSS class in college and made a cool website for class but that's about it lol.

Forget apollo its crap.. imo. I would use doubletwist player. Or try google play music app. They seem more stable. Highly suggest doubletwist. It even makes a new lockscreen for your music while its playing. :)
