Root [Sprint] (L720t) Odin & TWRP stock

Forget apollo its crap.. imo. I would use doubletwist player. Or try google play music app. They seem more stable. Highly suggest doubletwist. It even makes a new lockscreen for your music while its playing. :)

I heard good things about double twist. Gotta check that out :) yea apollo is always failing me and I gotta have my music while I drive

Please let us know if it works and how your doing buddy: )

So I tried downloading that file twice over my network (no WiFi at the moment) but it craps out on me. I'll have to use a public WiFi to download this. And I will definitely use your method via ROM installer and I'll be sure to use TWPR this time :) tomorrow is a day off for me so I will try it and report back :)

Also on a side note: I finally got around to flashing KT kernel and have been trying to find the best battery saver setup. I'm using powersave governor and I'm maxed at 1.1ghz. I'm a bit nervous to under volt stuff at this time. Do you know of any really good safe stable settings I can set for super battery life?

I would never undervolt that much. But super savings would be in limiting voltages while the screens off. I took this all the way down to like 300-400mhz

I'm back. I honestly do not know what I'm doing wrong but the installation failed again. I used your ROM installer method, went into the latest version of TWRP, backed up my CM 11, did factory data reset and tried to flash but it immediately popped up as FAIL. Nothing else but FAIL in red letters :(

You've gotta try PAC ROM 4.3 legacy device build. Its the most stable I've run. Aosp that is.

Good to see you back here sir. Didn't want you to think you wasted your time building that ROM, but it just wasn't working for me. I definitely admire and respect your work. But yes I am always looking for a STABLE (KEYWORD!!) ROM of any kind. I'm currently on slimkat 4.4.4 just for something different. My opinion so far is mixed: I kinda like it but dang stuff is so small!! Battery life is decent and it sure lives up to its slim name. Have you ever tried slimkat?

I was using Super S4 but I was running into major LAG. Sometimes I'd like a nice stable Touchwhiz ROM but I find them so bulky and laggy. Meanwhile when I try AOSP ROMs I get a slimmed down OS but with weird little visual stuff like "Digital Roaming" on my drop down menu lol

I may have to give PAC a go this weekend when I've got some free time :) we should keep a thread here of stable ROMs for folks who stop by and are interested. What say you friend? :)

If we're throwing out some stable roms. Im using sacs rom and its pretty good. Also the triforce rom works pretty well. Gotta have my long press menu kill option though and sacs has it. Been looking for an awesome rom that has native hotspot working but alas there isnt one. Ended up paying $2 for an app that does it. So far for or device those are the only two I can stand.

Paid hotspot? Aw man there should always be a way to get it free no?

No I mean that really doesn't make sense. For example, I was running a simple Cyanogenmod nightly a few weeks back and it had the hotspot. I was able to connect my phone to an iPad at my work. No problems, glitches or unstableness. It was free and built in. Other ROMs should have this as well.

I agree way back in 09 or 08 my prevail had a stock hotspot app. I'll look into this as well. And as always I am hosting a hangouts group for all to seek answers from users with our 'special' lil phones. ;)
Just shoot me a pm with your gmail so I can add ya to the group.. And I'm finally getting a little help. Its from a really nice guy from one of my root videos. :)

Any rom ive put on here, except for stock or the supers4 rom had no native hotspot. Some are supposed to but they take away the option under my connections tab or say it's not supported.

That is just odd: every ROM I've flashed on both my S3 and current S4 has had a hotspot guaranteed. I just feel like you shouldn't have to pay for an app or the extra fee Sprint wants. It's part of our service. I'm glad we can have a discussion here. Perhaps we can help you, Godfall47 and see if there's an issue with either your phone or maybe a bad flash (I've done bad flashes where stuff is messed up)

Yup first things first I've had this problem when I'd flashed a modem that wasn't compatible or out of date. And I think this is exactly it. Can you check your about phone in your settings app. And see if your baseband is NC6. I know the last this NC6 update fixed a lot of WiFi issues. ;)

Unless my phone Is lying to me I'm on NC6 as well. Just flashed the blue Kuban and it's on there. But like I said everything takes it away. What ROMs have you had success with?
