I was wondering where i can find Sprint prls and download them because i am currently on PRL 12121 any i have no signal hardly at all , even when i was on the defult 680 whatever one it was the same . So i was wondering where i can download some from

If you dont have service on those, switching probably wont help much. At least that is currently my experience.

oh yeah wet, Ive been using that 12121 and it drove me nuts. when I switch to channel 650 area(which is actual 3g for me) it would lose data because i was "roaming".

It was kind of fun because it actually put me onto roaming channel/sid (950/86 verizon) and something like (580/1055 blue? wireless). When I' try to make calls it would put me through to a recording from those companies the blue wireless told me to dial 611, the ctmod menu would say roaming, Id get the little triangle up top and a warning message saying "You have lost data connectivity because you are roaming".

Which would be awesome if I could use it, I actually wouldnt mind no data for increased service.

That's interesting because I've never had that issue with my Prevail or Marquee.

Yeah this is only in my bizarre barely any service region. If I was back in heavy sprint zone it would probably be fine.

The weird part is that when I went to where I get good service, it told me I was roaming.

It doesnt always roam, and it is usually only for a short distance, so Im thinking MAYBE it is connecting to a vzw home network(like an airave deal). Certain 6068* prls have put me onto sprints airaves before. still couldnt make a call though.

Thanks for yet another prl I haver to try out wet. Just when I thought I was done. lol.

side question-has anyone here ever played around with QPST RL Editor? It opened up in there and I get the whole list of channels, which im assuming correspond to the channel it reads on the phone.

my question is, should I remove the lines with channels I dont use to try and get a quicker or better signal? What Im using is currently is channel 1 in line 13, and channel line 2 in row 12. anyone play with these? or is it off to google I go?

No problemo. Monster is the one who hooked me up w/ it. Just thought I'd spread the love around man. :D

12123 has been working pretty good, not the miracle I need but it tethers better than most have been

also, I don't get the bizarre roaming messages i did on 12121.

I agree. 12123 has been working well. I still get the occasional roaming notification on my Marquee though.

its working really good with me too and i get the roaming notification once in a blue moon

I rarely get the roaming notification. Only when I go through a dead zone while driving.

I was discussing this in the marquee section too and I turned roaming off just to see what happens. Who knows..... it might help out the battery life. :D

I am currently on 61009 and sometimes 61008 however my service sucks for voice calls but my data is great. Are these prls specific to regions and if so where would i find a good prl for the toledo ohio area?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I'm on 60687 my phone has a steady signal bar now but its seems to have slowed my data speed down. I have only tried the stock boost 61007,61008, and 61009. The last prl was 60686 about the same as 60687 steady signal bar but seems to be slower now. I don't really understand how to check what prl's are best in my area, I've been using trial and error. Can somebody explain what I need to look at to know what area a prl works best? I'm in a little town called Cambridge,Ohio we have the 2 biggest interstates in America crossing I-70 and I-77. I also am getting a really high ping and low dl and ul speeds. My ping usually ranges from 1100-1800ms dl around 80-120 and ul 15-25. Something isn't right them are horrible numbers. I'm thinking possibly the new prl (60687) not for my area, is this a possibility? Any help will be appriciated, thanks.

Download open signal maps from the play store. Open it up and let it run. This will show you the signal strength and how close you are to the tower you are running off of. This makes it a little better for your trial and error.

Only other suggestion I have is to find someone in your area with the same phone/carrier and check their prl and signal strength.

Hope this helps a little.
