[Sprint] Quick question...hopefully

I am trading my nexus to someone and I have unrooted it, but the bootloader is still unlocked. Can Sprint connect it to another account with the bootloader being unlocked? and if not how do I lock it?

Thanks in advance
Steve

Steve,

I would suggest to get into contact with Sprint, i would like to say yes, but i do not want to give you false information. What you are doing in completely legal so do not worry about them questioning what you are doing.

Just call customer service and ask them if a locked device can be ported to another account/new number.

Hope this helps :)

Good advice from the others above ^^^ :)!

FYI, locking is pretty easy if you've got the fastboot USB drivers intalled; in a nutshell:

- connect your device to your PC via USB cable
- start a shell/terminal session
- fastboot oem lock
- enjoy!

The lock should wipe your device, too.

FYI, when it's rooted, there are apps that can lock / unlock your bootloader.

Cheers!

It will connect to a different account, but I highly suggest locking it. That way if the other person ever has to bring it in for anything they won't have any trouble with Sprint.
