I am not sure I should cancel my EVP order and wait it out at a Sprint Store. Still has not shipped and I could have my Phone early Friday. Anyone has any experience with early sprint store phone sales? Tips??
I am curious about this too. I called our store (corporate) and they told me they don't even KNOW how many they are getting!
How can the information be so f*ed up from store to store?

Yeah same thing here at the Sprint store by my house. They didn't even know if they received them yet. I am about to call and speak to a manager when I get off work.

Sprint Stores have received shipments. They are on lockdown to release any info.

"any info" that sucks, other forums have reports of people saying their sprint store will have 70 evo's and so on... Can't believe everything you read on the internet.
Is your Sprint Store doing preorders or just first-come-first-buy?

The Girl at the Sprint store that I have been talking to for a couple of weeks about the EVO, just called me to tell me it is a first come first serve but she has one put to the side and that this store will open at 7am. Thank you ,Thank you ,Thank you!! They will also carry two types of cases, micro HDMI cables, and more. She told me to call on Thurs. to get more info.

The Sprint Store in Bradenton (FL) will be opening at 0600 (that's 6 AM - in the morning for your younger set! 
) and the girl I talked to wouldn't say how many they had but she expects a full & busy day!!!
Unfortunately, my premier date for upgrade can't be stretched any earlier than the 17th and I'll have to do that on telesales. So, ya'll be gentle and save me one, OK!?

I called a sprint store here and asked if the price was 299 with 100 rebate, he said no 199. Anyone confirm that? Sprint.com shows 299 with rebate. I dont want to wait inline then have to wait for a rebate.
It's 299 and a 100 dollar rebate, making the phone 199 after you get the rebate. Unless your sprint store is doing it differently and handling the rebates themselves.

I went to my local store today and the guy there told me they have had a lot of people inquire about it. I asked about stock and he told me they did not even have any yet. Kinda worried cause my store is also in the same parking lot as a bb. There is another store in a bad area of town that I was thinking of going to instead just beacause I dont think there will be as many people. What do you think? May ought to be safe and not get one? Any one else in Houston that did not pre order?
Shouldn't matter that it's in the same parking lot as BB. Most of the BB customers are going to be pre-orders with appointments and from what I am reading, most BB/RS will only be getting a few (5 or so) extra, so I wouldn't expect a line at BB. That being said, you're in Texas...I guess you don't have a CHL? Too bad...that would let me hang out "in the bad part" with NO LINE!

I did not think so. Most of the people from Tx I have seen on here are from SA, Austin and Dallas. Kinda weird to me. lol. Guess I will just show up and hope for the best. Get my phone and go back home and go back to bed. lol
Yep...that's my plan. I convinced someone to cover for me @ work, so now just figuring just how early I am going to go. I am thinking about 4:30-5. Not sure if I could hang out much longer than that...I am not nearly as young as I used to be.

They had not called me by 5 p.m. although I'm supposed to be on the list. So I called them. The woman who answered said the store would be open at 8 and they were not making appointments and I'd better be in line by 5 a.m. if I want one.
She also said that if they run out on Friday, they will have more on Saturday.
I get different info every time I call, actually.
Oh the Westlake store said they were no opening early, 10 as usual but who knows for sure.
I think my game plan will be to go about 9:30 in hopes the rest of the crowd will have to get to work
and if the Union Street shop is out, then I can use Westlake as a backup...

I went to the Union store to ask specifically what was the purpose of the list? That's when they told me I would get a call today to set up a time...but I have yet to get a call.
The Westlake store told me yesterday when I visited they were going to open at 9, an hour early. I'm on their list too, but no call yet. Clearly we are getting mixed messages!

Sprint has no idea what they do and why they do it. I went to best buy, sprint and radio shack. Sprint was the least exciting of the three.
