Help spyware removal?

If I think that I may have spyware on my phone (something like spymobile) or been hacked, etc etc.

Will a factory reset erase anything? Or do I need to re-install the firmware all over again?

If so, do I need to backup my data with Astro File or something like that?
Looking for help or steps to take.

Try installing one of the android virus/spyware programs, like Lookout Mobile Security.

A factory reset should wipe everything out.

What makes you think there is malware?

You can try backing up apps with Astro File Manager. If you're rooted, make a NAND back up, and back up apps + data...
