Square - What android tablets actually work?

Iv'e been on the hunt for literally.. months, trying to find a tablet that I can use for my small business that I can use as a Point-of-sale or pretty much a cash register with my square reader. As i'm a small business square is really beneficial because of the flat rates & no monthly fees or contracts.

Right now i'm on the hunt for a GALAXY TAB (sch-i800) which I "think" will work, but want to know if there are other tablets out there that are affordable & ACTUALLY WORK! This has been really hard thing to dig up & only found bits & pieces. Here are the "requirements" from Square:

Google Android 2.3 or higher (Honeycomb or modified versions of Android are not supported)
A 3.5mm headset jack with microphone (audio jack adaptors are not supported)
A screen size specified as Normal or Large (Small screen sizes are not supported)
Location services enabled
Access to Google Play

If you have successfully used square on your tablet will you please list it up here? It would be great to compile a list of working android tablets usable with square because there are NONE out there.

Well supposedly the "New" Nexus 7's do work with Square but I don't have confirmation on that, Most likely yes it will have to be a 7" tablet which is not a problem for me. Its sole purpose is to use it as a cash register pretty much nothing more.

i have no experience with square, but judging from this:https://squareup.com/help/en-us/art...atibility#google-android-device-compatibility only 7" tablets will work. and it does not seem like many of the android tablets are functional with square.
Looking at all the caveats with specific Android devices as well as the feature list, I'd seriously just recommend getting a refurbished iPad Mini for $250.

Also, second gen Nexus 7 isn't particularly well supported, either.

The first generation Google Nexus 7 tablet is not compatible with the Square Reader. The second generation Nexus 7 tablet does not fully support the Square Reader, though the reader will work intermittently.

hello, I am wondering if the Lenovo ideatab a1000l-f will work with the square. It seems to meet the requirements. Android 2.3 or higher, 7" screen, audio input 3.5mm.
This is where I am confused, the 3.5mm audio jack, does it need to be some form of data jack? I bought the Lenovo, the square. The square didn't pop up any where or the tablet tell me it recognized it. Then my router died. What luck! I just assumed that the devices are not compatable. I returned them. Office max staff could not even tell me anything about any tablet, jacks.... MAybe it would have worked??? Where do you even go for support?
