Help Standalone GPS Service Warning

I decided to enable Standalone GPS services but when I did so, I got a warning msg box. Is this something I should actually worry about?
 
Your apps will know exactly where you are, and can transmit this information over the internet. If this scares you, leave it off. If you would like the added functionality that you get by having this enabled, just pay attention to the permissions that apps request when you install them. If an app is asking for GPS Location (fine) and you don't think it should be, don't install it. :)
