Help Starting phone without power button?

Hey all,

My power button is broken and I want to unroot before sending it into Verizon for a replacement. The light comes on when it's charging and everything seems to work fine, but I can't power on the phone. I tried volume down and up while plugging in the USB, tried popping the battery in and out a few times.

Are there any other ways?

Do you know how to use ADB? If you do you can unroot the phone using commands. I'm at work so I can't find a list of commands or instructions for you. Hopefully someone else can help you out here.

Thanks, I've used ADB before and might be able to figure it out...but can you use it to turn the phone on? I need to get it to power on somehow.

Wouldn't you be able to get a new phone anyway, regardless of it being rooted? It's not like they could see it's rooted before you got your phone :P

You can't use a pen or something to push the power button in? I know you can use ADB to reboot, not sure about turn on. I haven't played around with it much to be honest

Take the back cover off. You will have total access to the power button.

edit: Sorry. Just re-read your post. It's broken, not recessed.
