Help Steaming audio problems... Why?

I understand Froyo did something to the way music files are played, but I cannot get GrooveShark, Pandora or Last.FM to play through a whole song. It just keeps skipping to the next song, plays for 10-60 seconds then goes to the next song. I canceled my Sirius service and really want to use the phone for this. Can anyone suggest anything? I prefer not to root just because I had a Palm Pre and had to do all of that custom stuff to make my phone the way I wanted it. With the EVO, I have tried really hard just to love it the way it is, but the audio stuff is killing me.

root & go back to a 2.1 rom is your only option until google fixes the codec issues in 2.2

Google posted the fix a while back. If not going root the only wait is for HTC to send an update on 2.2
