Root Step by step Root walkthrough for Huawei Fusion 2

(I'm actually a woman, ha ha ha) You can do it from OS X. Download the SDK like I said and then follow the steps that I gave you. The Terminal is under Utilities in your Application folder.

Oh must have app maluuba and once installed hold search key and set as default its a great Google now alternative

I finished setup got a $200 dollar graphic chip finally for my desktop with HDMI so I have Ubuntu 13.04 with dual screens lol

On it you can ask it a question and it will answer it can call people and it will or you can make it set important dates or alarm clock its very handy and can have quick launch configured by holding the search key in your home screen

Try windows 7 compatibility mode. Before u click run me right click run me and select properties. After that select compatibility.. Windows 7. If that didn't work get back to me.

Rooting the Fusion 2

Hello Shagerty.

I have the Huawei U8652 from Consumer Cellular. I found all kinds of threads relating to rooting the U8652 from AT&T, but no threads specifically for the U8652 from Consumer Cellular.

Hoping the two carriers set up the phone close enough, I tried your steps.

First, though, I did try your fast boot/recovery boot and did confirm my android did have a fast boot recovery screen before any root attempts. (I have a total of 3 identical phones for my family. All did identical recovery boot screens.)

When following your steps, and I get to step 11, fastboot only returns a question mark and the words fastboot next to it.

I went ahead and finished all the steps (biting nails and crossing fingers).

When I tried step 15, the phone never goes beyond the consumer cellular boot logo... ever. (prior to rooting attempt, a recovery boot got me an Android menu screen in about 4 seconds). Now it just sits there. I even tried holding the volume up and power for a full two minutes.

Luckily I was able to remove the battery and reboot the phone normally. But subsequent attempts to recovery boot now just get me a locked screen.

So, it would appear that AT&T and Consumer Cellular have just enough sublte differences for your instructions here to not work.

Would you have any ideas on how I can root the Huawei U8652 from Consumer Cellular? (I have three phone I want to root)

Any help is appreciated.

TF.
