one of the greatesy visionaries of our time....
R.I.P Steve...

Confirmations that Steve's death announcement was carefully disseminated. There were so many things to consider that had to be planned for, not the least of which was the outpouring of sentiments from his adoring fans and public. Steve's passing is devastating on so many levels - all of which had to be considered.

This post originally was a "closing the thread notice." It was closed on the note of that great "shrine" pic up there NowVoyager brought to us, which I felt was a fitting end to this condolences thread.

But, popular demand is far more important than a decision by a Moderator, so I've re-opened it so that we can continue our thoughts, feelings and memories of Steve Jobs and his huge impact on the world. :)

Well that is the end of apple look what took them so long to develop and just to be at the line no exceeding expectations beginning of the end to make things worse the man on top has now passed away ill miss he did set the standard if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have the technology we have today thank-you Steve jobs. R.I.P.

The mouse, too?

That was one of the greatest abilities of the man. He would take an existing technology -- usually someone else's invention -- and adapt it or implement in a way that made it useful at a very basic level. He saw complexity in simple terms and demanded that it remain that way.

Because he was the visionary of practical use, many confuse him with the inventor. While it may not be accurate in the strictest historical context, it wasn't the thing that was necessarily his contribution, but it's implementation. For that, he was a genius of the common man (and woman).

He was a really cool and great guy by the sounds of it, even though he had cancer I really wish he could have had a less painful death though.

Sounds like a painful death :(

Damn not cool.
