Get one of the kk or lollipop Romsok. i got it to work with the L awe rom. i now have a rooted phone with no text messaging app. and when i try to log in to my google account and get an app there is a two step notification which sends a code to my phone via text messaging..lol. i can figure that out though
thanks for everybody's help. i have no idea why it worked on one pc but not the other but I think it had something to do with the device driver software incorrectly installed. the second pc i used prompted me to let it look for the driver. it found it and then we moved past the adb reboot hump. I'm not sure what I will do now with this rooted phone but I am grateful to you all for getting it successfully rooted. hopefully documenting my ineptitude might help others in the future. though maybe not since this phone is kind of old.
if anyone has any tips on stuff i should do since it's rooted in this L Awe rom i am all ears.
It does alotHi McBad, did you do a TWRP backup? I am glad that you FINALLY got that thing rooted. I run the stock rom that came with the phone. I've been considering trying out Spock's Kernel, though. It is supposed to increase the phone's speed.
I did not do a twrp backup, should I?
The phone seems faster, though it also seems to be draining the battery quicker.
I'm trying to learn more about L awe but I am complete noob and I'm sure most of what it has to offer will co right over my head.
Apps2SD is a nice apk as well with partition tool etc.Try Link2SD application if you have any problems transferring programs over.
Odd works flawless for me on my syncWish it work on the sync can move them but when do reboot the link is gone
What ROM u usingOdd works flawless for me on my sync
I switch back & forth between all sync ROMs and modded zmax ROMs and it works on any ROM I runWhat ROM u using
Either links2sd or apps2sd or an apk called (handle ext sd) which is an exposed apk. But for the most part you must be partitioned to move apks to sdWhat apps u use to move to ext sd
OK how do I do the partion I have 64 gig card?Either links2sd or apps2sd or an apk called (handle ext sd) which is an exposed apk. But for the most part you must be partitioned to move apks to sd
Aparted, Gparted, or apps2sd has a built in partition tool. Sometimes I use apps2sd just to partition then uninstall it and use links2sd now that apps2sd had done its job partitioning. Some TWRP versions have a partition feature. V2.8.7.0 TWRP has the feature but doesn't work like my old lg F6 did. So ya if I were u I would partition with apps2sd then uninstall it and use links2sd. Apps2sd allows all linking without pro version. Links2sd you need pro to link all files feature.OK how do I do the partion I have 64 gig card?

Its a bit tricky depending on what tool you are using to partition. I'm afraid I would just explain things away and make them more complicated for you. If you use apps2SD to partition slide the meter up top indicating you're partition size. That's best I can explain without confusing the hell out of you. I had to play around a bit myself. If you or a friend has an android with a TWRP version that had partition feature that actually works that's the easyest route put youre SD in there phone and get er done then pop er back in you're phone. Make sure you use extention 4 on the partition not 2 or 3 or anything. I hope that helps. If not hit me back and I'll screen shot my "mimicking" the process. Oh! its gonna format you're SD card. back up what you wanna keep cuz it all going bye bye. The process/formating/ partitioning wipes entire SD card. & never mess with swop file crap. you're SD won't last very long if you mess with swop file just partition. You'll get er. Be aware it causes you're SD card to be read more which wears an SD card out faster.Cant get it to work I did something wrong I need instructions on how u did it this is knew to me
