Still Confident Bravo is coming to Verizon

Is that like the guy who saw bigfoot? :p

I don't know if the guy is legit or not, but I don't know why a site that is devoted to tech news would just make up a random story about a phone called The Incredible and give us a bunch of madeup specs. That would really put their credibility in question if/when they are proven incorrect. So, we all believe them. It's just one more piece of evidence that the Bravo is coming to Verizon Wireless as the Droid Incredible, and trust me, there has been a LOT of evidence stacking up over the past few months. There is seriously NO evidence that the Bravo will be coming stateside to any other wireless carrier.

It all kind of started with this

HTC Incredible is coming to Verizon, better live up to its name -- Engadget Mobile

and then noticed in the HTC roadmap that they had typos calling the Bravo the Incredible then droid developer had hinted on it so we know the incredible is in the works at Verizon and tying up loose knots that is how we come to figure the bravo will be going to Verizon but may have a different name when released don’t know if they will keep the incredible name or change it.

Man, we are repeating ourselves A LOT. All the articles, etc. New people, just got back a few pages. Everything is listed. :) Anyway, the fact that an Incredible is coming to VZW, and in the brochure it calls it the Incredible....

Hey, what can I say? Just when, is the question.

if this is the bravo/passion thats been pictured, then what the hell did i see? and why change it, 1 step forward 2 steps back springs to mind, and im sure if this was the phone we would know more about it by now, man i am going to be dissapointed big time, it may all be too late, but i get to see my contact either monday(doubtful)or tuesday, and as if everyone is questioning my credability, i will send my info to nashdroid direct, and he can post the info, hopefully the pic i saw.

Assuming you weren't hitting the shrooms too hard is it not possible you saw the US version? Maybe you saw the Incredible which you were told was the Bravo and thats why you think the Incredible doesn't exist. At least thats the most charitable explanation at the moment.

Where did you hear of this mysterious Incredible and how do you know it is cdma? I must have missed that update because from what i have heard there is no proof of a cdma incredible... I could be wrong. Hope so.

along with the other 2 responce there is also the fact HTC trademarked the name "HTC Incredible". Have you heard of such a phone going to another carrier? Nope? Good boy.

Do me a favor and stop regirgitating the same old links; it makes the thread much longer for no good reason. If you turn back a page or two in this thread, you will see the same link several times. THis is getting as bad as the rumor sites.

First off, I don't think I am the only one here posting links, last time I checked there were numerous links posted more than once. Second after waiting this long to finally get some real pics I think we could use all as much info as possible. And the only favor I will do for you is to post as much info as I can find.

Speaking of Verizon being tightlipped on the official up until the last minute (as mentioned in an earlier post), here it is Thursday the 21st and they just officially announced availability and pricing of the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus for Monday the 25th. That being said, does anyone recall when we saw FCC certification of the Pre Plus for Verizon? I don't recall seeing it at all, but I just wanted to see the latest data point for FCC approval to market timeframe.

correct me if im wrong, but are we also missing something with the "bravo leeked" pics, where is the call and end call buttons? even on the touch panel i saw had call buttons, im still not convinced, dont get me wrong i understand the roadmaps, and know the codes to catch out,but the balance isnt right, and why have we got a very dodgy picture for the phone??? somethings not quite right here,
There aren't any. Just like the iPhone, Nexus One, Droid...

yes im asking, i look at this pic, and am trying to find anything that might help, so the call buttons is whats got my attention, dont forget im in uk,no droids, so i cant know for sue, yes the iphone has no buttons, and the n1, ?
I'm starting to lose all faith in you. j/k I kid ;)

Anyway, the Nexus One does have capacative (sp?) buttons, but no "call" and "end" buttons.

The N1 has no hard buttons. Only a trackball. Basically take the soft buttons that are on the N1, move them down and make them hard buttons, trade trackball for optical joystick and tada...the HTC Bravo.

That's the Motorola Droid and the Nexus One. Notice: No Send or End call buttons.

Kill this thread already. It's long and unwieldy.

Who wants to sift through 20 pages of fluff to get the couple of nuggets here or there with interesting or important discussion??? The thread isn't even about it's intended title anymore.

This is our discussion. I'm sorry if you don't want to read it.

Most you may know this already, but from what I've read, some don't. As far as FCC certification goes, HTC uses a third party test lab in Taiwan to do their device testing. This lab then submits the test docs to the FCC for approval. For the N1, the test results were submitted 12/04/09 and the device was approved 12/14/09. That's one reason they're able to keep a tight lid on these things until they're ready to release.

Huh? Who sifts through it? Hint... just go to the last page when you check in.

Perhaps I've missed something but I just finished speed reading through this thread...skipping a few pages here and there and wonder why people are still thinking that the Bravo will be coming to Verizon? The Nexus One has been officially announced for Verizon this spring....and the Google site selling the N1 shows a link that will, I assume, be active in the future. From what I've read...the Bravo looks preferable to the Nexus One. And knowing that it would be sold directly via the Verizon store would be a much more comfortable way to purchase...IMHO. Anyway, am I off the mark here...or am I correct in assuming that the Nexus One on Verizon precludes the Bravo from being available? Same line of logic for the Incredible...if it is indeed the same as the Nexus One-Bravo-Passion.
