Still Confident Bravo is coming to Verizon

I just wonder if some of these ppl at VZW are confusing the passion for the N1. I hope not, and I hope the passion is for real, and really close to being announced/released.

It would be kinda hard to confuse the two as supposedly Verizon will have very little to do with the N1. Hence there should be no training for the N1, no inventory screens for the N1, no reference materials for the N1, etc. So if they really see evidence of a phone coming its doubtful they're seeing the N1. More then likely there is confusion over the name, but not of a handset coming.

Did the N1 show up on that database right before it was released? Also, whatever happened to all those Google invites that were supposed to given to the select few.

I think if it ie Passion/Bravo whatever was ready today they could announce it the next day without any of us knowing about it beforehand.

The VZW guy that said it was coming in less than 30 days said that he was "starting to receive info on it."

Are you saying that you recently talked to him AGAIN, like today, or are you saying that he said he was "starting to receive info on it" back when you first talked to him?

In a related story of "he said, she said", this chick i started messing with told me she has a friend who's a manager at VZW. I jumped out of the bed like "are you serious?" and told her to call him right now (it was like midnight). She refused, but is also his friend on facebook. I told her to write him a message, asking what he knew about either the Passion, Bravo, or Incredible. He called her back today on a break, and said he has played with the passion and its really sweet, and overall it trumps the Droid in every way. She's not all phone-techy, so she didnt know what to ask. He told her VZW is "throwing around" a release date, but nothing is official. I'm gonna try to hit him up myself on facebook to get more details from him, and tell him the more he can divulge about it, the more people I could try to get to come to HIS store to purchase the phone (so if your around the Chicagoland/Chicago suburb area, you might be interested in this). I'll keep you guys posted. This story, combined with others out there, is making this seem more and more likely that we will see a Passion phone (not the N1) on VZW very soon!

Dude, not at all. I was actually ready to switch to TMo to get the Nexus until i heard this info. Maybe he's playign with it on 2.0, and the upgrade to 2.1 isn't that hard? I honestly dont know, just telling you what i've heard. My little story isn't the "end all, be all". Just something I heard from this manager. I sent this chick a list of questions to forward him and he said he'll answer what he can.

Haha no, I know the difference between the 2 phones. I was going to switch because, even tho the N1 is coming to VZW, we dont know when, and the plans are more expensive with VZW than TMo. In Chicago, all my friends get good coverage, so thats why I was gonna switch.
 
This is going to be a WONDERFUL surprise if this phone releases and we have little-to-no real solid information on it. Kinda like keeping a Christmas present secret right until the time the kid opens it. I hope that's what happens. If so, I'm going to be getting a late Christmas present very soon!

Hey guys, been reading these threads for a while, but just made an account. Anyway I must have missed something because I thought it was pretty much fact that the Passion = Nexus One. The image is no longer on Google's website but when they had the little picture of the Nexus One below the search box on their mainsite the name of the image was "hpp_passion-35.png". Anyway just wanted to see if you guys no something I don't which would more reliable than the picture's name on Google's website.
