Still Confident Bravo is coming to Verizon

Here it is in English:

According to a facebook message from the "3 Sweden" in response to a question concerning new androidmobiler in Tres range so it looks like the HTC Bravo is heading in the range, in March. Exactly when Bravo will is unclear when the HTC themselves have not gone out with any info, but then Bravo is said to be basically the same phone as Nexus One as a delivery date should not be too far away. The delay is probably not the hardware but must be adapted Sense for Android 2.1.

Press cutting from the facebook conversation in which the above information is retrieved:

3 Sweden: We have just taken the decision to take on HTC Bravo (expected in March) and that basically is the same as mobile Nexus One.

It certainly happens a lot of fun now at the beginning of 2010, having already released the Nexus One, X10 waiting (hopefully) just around the corner and now HTC Bravo in March. Our prediction that 2010 will be the Androids real breakthrough seems to be coming true. 2009 in all the glory, but this year it explodes!

One major problem. According to the leaked 2010 catalog the Bravo does not have Sense on it (not pictured with Sense and Sense not listed as a software).

^^The picture of the bravo is a render and there could be changes to sense that they don't want to reveal. sure doesn't look like vanilla android to me.

Yea some one totally just rendered that picture, idk if it was a mistake or not. They have the sense clock that doesnt come with stock android, but they are missing i think just the bottom dock where the call and contact button is supposed to be. Maybe they didnt know what to draw considering it's going to be a 2.1 phone. This picture was rendered quite some time before 2.1

So, phone arena has a video of Android 2.1 running on a Touch HD. Got me to thinking about what newsradio said about the Bravo looking like the Touch HD. I'm at work and I can't see this video. Anyone want to pull it up and try to take a close look at the phone? Could it be the Bravo mistaken for the Touch HD? Check to see if there's any difference in the buttons across the bottom of the phone. Who's up for the challenge? ;)

The buttons at the bottom look like touch buttons not hard keys. The front of the phone looks nothing like the pictures of the HD2 we have all seen. It loads with the Nexus One 2.0 ROM. I dont think that this phone is the HD2 at all.Android 2.0 makes an appearance on an HTC Touch HD? (Phone Arena News)

EDIT: I guess this is just the Touch HD running Android 2.0. Still cool though. Im not a big fan of WindowsMobile.

It is the same phone Newsradio posted pictures of which is the windows based TouchHD. In the video, this one runs Windows Mobile and he has to start the Android OS from there. It shows the N1 boot animation when it boots, but I don't know enough about Android to tell which version it's actually running. The video title says 2.0.
If the Bravo looks like that if/ when it's released, I'd be happy with it.

Maybe I should have capitalized and bolded the IF in my post. We don't know when or IF on Verizon. If it's not on Verizon, it's a non-starter for me.

Yep, definitely phone we waiting for, Love fact that runs on top Windows Mobile. so nice, I tell you all along, this phone will be perfect. Touch HD, window mobile. Android on top of. =perfect phone. You all believe now? Good. Now we move on, I love phone!!! You see soon. ;)

Edit: Also, me love you long time.

OK. I'm getting confused. This will run both Windows ( hated it on my MotoQ)
and Android?

to clarify, Touch HD has windows mobile on now, its been out for a while, and this guy has put the android rom on it, when we all get the phone,it will ONLY have android on, version 2.1 (thats why its been slightly delayed) when you look at the Touch HD, imagine it has a optic mouse, and bingo you got it, windows mobile is useless compared to android, to be honest that video would of been better just seeing android on it,insted of windows mobile at the start, kind oof ruins it,lol

Got it ! A large order of Fish & Chips to you. Thanks....

I'll be honest, if that's what the phone's going to look like, I like that better than the N1.

Not to pee off anyone who will get screwed by the whole Jan. 13th deadline thing, but I hope Verizon announces something in the next few days.

I think I check this thread/site every 5 minutes. What a loser I am!

But, I'm a BB Storm I user and need something soon.

Are you still giving newsradio grief? You need to get off the guys sack. He's providing info that the other grown ass adults on this site can choose to believe or blow off. I personally like hearing what he and other tipsters have to say.

Did you give Rob Jackson this much shit for getting the htcpassion domain name and then let everyone speculate about it without saying it was his?

Do you think if we all pooled our accounts together and gave our cell numbers to one person to email verizon and say "I represent all these accounts..." they will be any more willing to tell us information about when the new HTC android phone is being released? Just an idea I was thinking about. Don't know how practical it would be.

Everyone going be VERY excited soon when this phone release. Be happy, no mad. We'll all see soon. only time will tell, you see what all will be happen soon,,, ;) Be excited. CDMA will be around for a good 10 years, mark it down. It'll take that long to build out LTE to every corner of the network. Besides, it'll be another year or so before LTE handsets just start to become available. How long will it take to turn over all those two year contracts? LTE phones will be 3G fallback capable for the next several years to make sure you can still operate at every corner of Verizon's network.

As far as LTE being the worldwide 4G standard? Um, don't forget about WiMax. There's Sprint already and then a few other providers worldwide slated to go the WiMax route. Just when you thought we would finally be standardized...

Back in September (the 17th to be specific), I personally attended an invite only meeting regarding Verizon's network and their LTE / 4G implementation. Verizon is very excited about this because they are going to be able to implement their 4G network and not have to do much to their existing infrastructure. They went out and bought up as much of the 700MHz bandwidth they could to support their 4G network (700MHz was vacated by analog TV). In fact, VZW bought ~58% as opposed to AT&T's ~14% (http://www.bia.com/images/top_15_winning_bidders_700MHz_spectrum_2008.jpg). They have partnered with Alcatel-Lucent. The demo was nothing short of amazing. VZW will be rolling this out to their top 30 cities (in terms of volume) throughout 2010. Fortunately Columbus, OH is one of those cities. They didn't tell us who the other 29 were:confused:, sorry... Funny side-note, the "map" was red from coast-to-coast, and AT&T's blue "map" was even spottier than it is today. All that being said, an HTC Bravo that supports LTE/4G (and can fall back to CDMA) would be AWESOME!!!

Would you know if Atlanta would be one of those cities. It is a very big market for verizon.

Unfortunately, I have no idea. It was an NDA event, and no specific details about any other cities were given. I was just lucky enough to get invited because at work we are a corporate customer. But suffice it to say that LAN speed was achieved for file transfers, etc. I can see things like YouTube being click and play (with no delay) on a phone with LTE/4G...

Nigelahmad, thanks for repeating my post exactly. ;)

Anyway, I highly doubt that it will have windows mobile and android. In fact, in my opinion it will only be android. And I am pretty sure it will have sense because it showed the sense keyboard in one of the pictures.
