Los Angeles, Cali, version 1.5 here I've been waiting 3 months for this OTA......and last night my wife gets it first.....and she doesn't even like her eris......and here I am still waiting..

Nothin for me either, but I drive a truck and so I went through three states last night and still on 2.1v3. Oh and 2010 blue freightliner (freightshaker) 59000 miles. :^)

I live in Palo Alto, CA and I don't have it.

HOWEVER, I live with my younger sister and she got the notification, while I didn't.

lawl.

No dice in Detroit.

I'm pretty anxious but I know that they are doing the roll out over such a long period of time not so much because of bugs, the first 3 days would tell them if anything was wrong causing phones to brick. They do it so thousands of Eris owners aren't plowing the servers all at once causing mass outages across the network from sheer overload.

I work for IBM and when we do large updates on the network, we roll them out over a period of time, but we have a method of determining who's in each phase.

Long island, ny here. No OTA yet, I have thought of rooting from 1.5 to 2.1 anyone do it yet and if so, any up or downsides to it?

With my luck, my number will come up this Saturday night when I am in rural Maine, where I know the signal is crappy.

Does anyone think with all the bad weather the last couple of days in the mid west that maybe Verizon slowed down the OTA?

For all of you waiting and are on 1.5, you do know there is a way to manually install the OTA, right? Just look at the most updated thread here on the forums for instructions on how to do it. You don't have to sit and wait for Verizon to finally push it to your phone.

I saw that. I am looking forward to getting 2.1, but the truth is that mine is working just fine with 1.5, and I kind of enjoy the "update roulette", seeing which day this will actually fall for me. I've waited this long; I've had the phone since December, and I first recall reading that an Eclair update was coming in early January. I can wait a bit longer.

why does the update have to be OTA? why isnt there a desktop client for people who want to manually update their phones via usb and wired connection? it'd take a lot of network strain off verizon for pushing updates.

I have an 330 Ohio number with a Memphis TN address-- nothing yet!!
wah wah wah!!!
(Actually, I'm not even bothered by the wait, I just figured the people on here complaining about us "whiners" would like the cries)
:)

San Diego, still no OTA :( I've been good about waiting so far, but now that I'm seeing all these people talk about how snappy their phone is once they finally got the OTA, I'm sooo impatient! I'm friggin' dreaming that I wake up and my phone is beeping, waiting for me to update. Only to really wake up and it's just the same ol' screen :( Pretty sad I know...

and I dont want to manually do it. I'm weird; I want the "official" OTA. I get poor signal at my house so I even have wifi and 3G on..just in case.

Just wanted to let you guys know that since I started this thread. I got 2.1 last night update came around 12:45am. Pittsburgh, PA.
