Still no update 4.3

I decided to see if the update to 4.3 was available on my phone and it said it was. I downloaded it, quite a large file and took about 40 minutes. So far so good, no issues other that the flash would come on to indicate an email but I disabled that in the settings. My wife has the same phone so I decided to do hers but it stated she had the most current software. Not sure why I could do it by she could not. In any event I thought I would pass this info on.
 
Interesting you guys in the US are getting the update, Samsung in the UK have just posted this:-
We’re sorry with the issue with the recent Galaxy S3 4.3 Jellybean update, and we assure you that we are taking it very seriously. We are working hard to resolve this as soon as possible. As soon as we have more information, we will pass it on to you.
 
Mine is downloading the update as I type this. It says it is 623.10mb. This is not my primary phone now as I have got the new Nexus 5 but I do want to keep it updated.

I will post any issues/goodies that I can find later :)

BTW......... I live near Portland, Maine USA

Are you running stock? Rooted?

Was rooted but returned to stock. I also used triangle away app to reset things to zero.

Have no idea what happened but the update did not complete? I left it and had dinner and when I returned it had stopped and I did not notice any statements tat popped up.

I can not try it again for 24 hours !!!

Oh well................probably nothing I want or need anyhow. I will try again tomorrow and watch it throughout the update to see what happens.
 
I was finally able to update my wife's S3 and the download got to 30% and then stopped. Not sure what happened but won't let me try for 24hrs etc. The time limit expired so I tried it again and now it says no update available, current software up to date etc. Not sure what gives now.

That's probably what happened to me also :(

Oh well, just one reason I went with the Nexus 5..............updates are not an issue.

Sounds like Samsung pulled the update to work on more identified bugs.

Oh well.................waited 24 hours and the update just quit again !

I guess I will just wait a few days and try it again.....LOL
