Stock Jelly Bean Lockscreen

So after playing around in System/App I discovered you can disable the HTC Lockscreen and use the Jelly Bean stock lockscreen

Using a file explorer go to your Root directory Navigate to System/App and rename HtcLockscreen.apk to htclockscreen.apk.bak and reboot.

This can work on ics or jb, I have jb.

There's also a app on the Google Playstore for a jb stock SMS its lightweight and nicer then the stock sms that HTC sense has.

Nice find bro. I've been using Widget Locker to get the JB lockscreen. Nice to know I won't need to use Widget Locker anymore. It is a resource hog imo.

Yeah same was happening to me, I'm working on trying to get the address book and phone dialer to work but sense is blocking me.

Also when someone calls it doesn't show up because of the lockscreen. You have to unlock it to answer.

Sense is nice if you want it but a pain in the ass to get rid of if you don't. I've heard this in the past on phones that had Sense. Looks like they were telling the truth huh?

Yeah, its a pain in edit Sense. I'd father get rid of it ..I'm my Evo design I can disable sense all together

Yup.The option to enable or disable would be NICE!! lol :D

Actually, I really don't even use Sense. I use ADW Ex and that pretty much does away with the Sense features. ;)

I'm using the Nova launcher but I can't edit a lot of files because of Sense.

It would be great if all phone oems would allow us to use either stock or their skin...the skins are great but sometimes we just want an un-modified os.

I agree and I really dislike HTC sense. I think we are missing the best parts of jb because of it. I'm switching to the HTC one from t mobile soon I can't wait to load it with cyanogenmod.

Im workong on a senseless rom as i type. It has a modified stock lockscreen. And a new theme based off miui, I decided to drop the miui clone.

I've been working on one too but am struggling to edit apks with Apktool I keep getting errors.
