hey guys, im running gingervillain 3.3 and using oc/uv for my cpu, what are the best governors to use at what settings for battery life?,

at the moment i have wake on 'smartass' between 200odd mhz to 830odd, and sleep is on powersave 128-340 mhz
 
ondemand is probably the best governer in terms of speed and battery.
smartass is laggy as hell
I would try using a different kernel like manu 1.4 havs axi cfs
run it on ondemand
change min to 128 max to 998
screen off profile set to 128 min and 256 max
keep the governor as ondemand

i dont think the manu 1.4 kernel is compatible with gingervillain, i cant seem to find any that are
 
im on stock gingervillain and use oc/uv beater

my settings are:

wake - ondemand 245000-499200
sleep - ondemand 128000-245000

and my undervolts have all been reduced gradually to 125 less than what they are normally set as


even though my settings are so low the phone doesent feel any slower at all which makes me think its not working? superuser access is enabled and i 'TEMP ENABLED' both the uv profile and oc profile

does the phone really only need 500mhz? as it doesent seem to struggle

i try to limit the amount of apps i install lol and if oc/uv is working then i might aswell use it, plus setcpu costs money lol

im so confused with this kernel thing, there is barely any info out there on it at all.

Which kernels can i use with gingerbread? are they all compatible? are they already undervolted and therefore i do not need to undervolt them?
Where do i get them from? which ones are the best for battery life?
 
Only use Froyo kernels on Froyo roms. Only use gingerbread kernels on gingerbread roms. Only use sense kernels for sense roms. Only use aosp kernels on aosp roms.

i just lowered the voltage a bit more and phone crashed so i have a feeling it is working, thanks
 
ive flashed Gingerbread-HAVS-AXI-CFS 2.6.35.13 and started my phone back up

now on the oc/uv program, i cant change the voltages, it says unable to activate profile, i can change the mhz upon wake and sleep etc but not the voltages? Theres nowhere to change any settings i couldent normally change etc
