Root stock launcher issues

Heres the problem peopIe,I recently rooted my lg volt for the first time, one of the first things I did was disable the stock launcher among a few other things. Phone was running fine for a few days and out of no where my volt starts freezing,won't restart locking up apps go missing just random weird things start happening. So I decide to do a factory rest on it to see if this might help,but then after it finally reboots I was missing my launcher and the lg theme, plus other functions we're not working as well. So I was wondering if their might be a fix for this or is my launcher done for it?

Yes sir,I still have it its just missing the lg theme and when you long press on a icon to edit it, the launcher crashes

If you still have the lg apps you could download a theme, otherwise why not download another launcher?

I kinda wanna return it and need it fully stock

Why are you returning it?

I think you might be sol... You could try flash the stock ROM and hope they don't notice that it's not the boost ROM

The problem is that if you flash the lg stock the phone won't have any of the boost stuff, including startup animation. You should be able to make it use the boost animation, as it is present on the phone. But there would still be the absence of boost software and the fact that it will show LG as the carrier.

I have the boost apk for there bloatware. You know if towel root carrys any type of virus?

why would you disable the stock launcher so soon? you might just have to wait it out till someone gets the rom launchers.

I learned my lesson about disabling/removing stock launchers on my 1st phone.Always good to just force stop it and not disable it.

Towelroot IS technically a virus, but other than installing the su apk, it doesn't do anything to the phone. However, the phone had a log that will expose if the phone has ever been rooted. Even if you can make it look exactly like it's never been tampered with, that log can rat you out if they check it.

I have no clue as to how you would be able to get the carrier to show boost again though.

So they sent me a replacement phone already, even before shipping mine out. I took the stock launcher from the other phone and made it into a apk and just like that I fixed the issue. Thanks everybody for your input
