is there a way i can make my wallpaper non-scrollable & crop it vertically like go launcher ? the stock launcher seems to run smoother than go launcher but having my wallpaper all distorted irritates me.

Nope. But there's better launchers out there with that capability. Like adw. launcher pro. 360.
