Root stock rom plz help.

first off welcome to the forums!!
are you getting it serviced for a hardware or software issues? if it is a hardware thing then they will no have need to go exploring into your phone, then you can just flash either the stock rooted rom here:Supersonic_3.70.651.1-Deodexed_signed_teshxx.zip or try a custom rom that is stock looking like fresh 3.5 or sprint lover's. you can get them here:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/284413-roms-kernels-download-page.html
however, if it something where they will have to go into the phone, then i would unroot it you do not want to risk voiding your warranty. just make sure that they do not apply any updates (like the rumored official OTA coming out in a few days) because you may loose root.
