Root Stock ROM

Does anyone have a backup of the stock rom for this tablet. I nearly bricked it, and I need to Restore the stock rom.
 
I thought that there was a way to back up the stock rom with the RKTool or something. But I will continue to wait :)
 
yeah just hang tight. hoping to have a completely functional CWM for New years. after we have CWM, things like that will start to roll out pretty quick
 
Open ES File Explorer and click...
(3 vertical dots) > Settings > Root settings
Staring at the bottom uncheck the bottom 3 boxes,
Leave the next box, Up to Root, checked.
and then uncheck the top box.
Back out of ES File Explorer


While you were doing that you may have had the program asking for super user access. If so, you may also have noticed that even if you picked deny access the program was granted super user privileges anyway. Even the most careless of system administrators only grant themselves super user access long enough to accomplish the task at hand, and then they turn super user access back off. Unchecking all but Up to Root will allow you to see your entire file structure without the risk of accidentally erasing something vital, and turning your tablet into a paper weight.
 
My tablet does not boot right now. So I can't open any apps. The hardware works, but the firmware has been erased. So I need a stock firmware to restore it. Thanks for the help though :)

Is it just boot looping? The only way to fix that is to use a boot loader. (An app that will push firmware to the device from a computer while the device is in download mode) all manufacturers have one like Samsung has Odin and someone created heimdall for Linux version. Moto has theirs, LG has theirs, HTC as well, and so on.

Haven't found one for the rockchip yet but I'm sure we can probly find one. My guess would be to start with phones that have similar CPUs .. I'll do some research on this and see what I can find..

I found Fun's web site where he claims to have the beginings of a functonal CWM for RK2906

He states there that, “adding a device specific image is easy. please tell us where to download official firmware for your device.”

I'm hoping that the firmware was the last thing you needed to complete your work on the CWM for this thing, but if not please let us all know what you still need. There are a lot of people eagerly awaiting what you have in store.

Finaly, my continued contribution to this whole effort will be severely limited by the fact that, I'm a noob. And now I'm going to go take my rightful place at the back of the bus and let you drive.
