just upgraded to 2.3.6 (kk5) from the odin site, saw some custom ROM's there, i think frankenstien?

Is there any benefits to upgrade the ROM?

im currently on:

Version 2.3.6

baseband KI3

kernal 2.6.35 7-I9100XWKK5

BUILD kk5

So-called 'Frankenstein' packages aren't custom ROMs, they are

created due to demand for Firmware with different CSC and modems and also leaked firmware packages. KIES will not recognise the firmware so you won't be able to update to new firmware using KIES unless you flash back to a firmware meant for your device first.

If you don't know whether you need a Frankenstein, it's safe to say that you probably don't.
