Stop a Google Core Package download?

hstroph

Android Expert
While using Google Translate, I apparently chose to download the Japanese core package using broadband. The download has now been occurring for the past 1-1/2 days without completion, and I can't find anyway to stop the download. The progress bar is the right-moving segments without indication of percentage completion.

Swiping the download notification ("Core Package: Google Translate") doesn't remove it, rebooting the phone resumes or restarts(?) the download on next power-up, and I can find no "Google Translate" in the settings apps to be able to stop the download.

Your help to stop this download is much appreciated.

Greetings, and welcome to the Android Forums.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but I never really learned how to solve the problem. Eventually it just went away, if I recall correctly.

The only stuff in there are my Xposed modules and a few things I've pulled direct from web sites i.e. 'external' downloads. Play d/ls, app updates etc aren't included, so I doubt clearing this will help.

The only thing I can think of right now is looking for Translate in Settings/Apps, force-closing it and clearing its data+cache.

Go to Downloads in your phone (its one of your apps in the phone), find 'core package ', and 'close' it. You should go to past to see package option.
