I was just reading a thread about a "USB storage problem". I'm wondering where this terminology came from since USB (Universal Serial Bus) doesn't really relate to storage. My guess is that it refers to the removable SD card storage. Correct?
I'm not sure of the origins but if you go to settings > applications > and tap the 'on sd card' tab, look down at the bottom and it says USB storage. USB storage usually refers to the internal storage. If you go to settings > back up and reset and tap on factory reset, you'll see an option to format USB storage. that's also the internal storage. If you use a file manager and look at your phone, you'll see the USB internal storage is called SD Card and the removable sd card is called external_sd.
