Help Strange Data Loss Issue...only for 3 seconds

Hello,

I have a strange little issue that has been happening for around two weeks now. It is not a big deal for me but still curious as to why this happens.

Anyways,

I have excellent data connection with AT&T and this phone. No complaints...

However, the small issue is that occassionally, when I hit the End key to hand up with a call, the data icon briefly switches to no service at all. Circle. I wait around 3 seconds, and all is fine again.\

Any ideas?

Are you in an lte area?

The phone changes connection type when making a call. Part of this process requires disconnecting one radio to connect to another.

It can take up to 15 seconds for the transition to take place...

This is what you are seeing.

Hey,

That is what I read today online while check all this. The funny thing is that I'm not in an LTE area. I'm in Miami, FL. Unlike my last crappy provider, I love this phone and the excellent reception it receives. That 4G icon NEVER has changed once since I got it and I get nice speeds. As far as phone calls go, I haven't encountered any issues either.

With that said, it is just odd that this happens about 80% of the times when hanging up on a call. Like you stated, it is quick. However it is not a data issue and the reception comes back about 8 seconds right after I hang up on a call.

I think its just the default way the skyrocket works because when you are on lte it has to change to 3g to make the call

You know what? Come to think of it, I think you may be right. Makes so much sense...

Just strange that it does this in a consistent manner.
