Streaming an online radio on HERO?

i looked into this and only found MMS radio (lite)

it's on the market.

It won't allow you to listen to your station but it shows that MMS is possible

I have tried different apps on the market and none of them will let me play that radio channel.
There GOT to be an app out there which can handle this mms radio thing.
Thanks for trying tho'.

I only need one thing. And that's to stream one specific channel.

There are 2 links to the same radio stream.

mms://media.internet.fo/uf16 ?

Thanks for the replies, however I ONLY need an app which can play that specific channel. Nothing more.

Thanks.

I tried Stream Live, my current favourite, but no joy.

However, if it's any help to you that http link is to an .asx playlist. All you need to do now is find something that plays that format.... :)

As I said before I had looked into this to try to stream BBC 5Live and bypassing the mobile restriction for broadcasting football coverage.

Trust me when I say that I really looked and researched. But nothing os put there so far that will allow streaming of asx mms streams. Well, not a stream in particular.

I hope someone in this thread can prove that statement wrong.

The only workarounds could be that you may use your home computer to re-stream the station.

MyTV | Orb Networks may be of interest.

What do you mean by "The only workarounds could be that you may use your home computer to re-stream the station." Since I need to at able to listen to the station from my phone and not my computer.

I mean exactly what say.

You use your computer to take the mms feed and rebroadcast it - maybe via http.

Your Android phone can then connect to your home computer (slingbox/orb tv/ monsoon Volcano) and receive the broadcast on your phone when you are out and about.

Can anyone help me playing this on-line radio streaming on my Hero with Android 2.1?

Thanks much appreciated.

Try Aonline radio. Doesn't play everything but a lot of internet streams work fine once you've added them.

I think the problem is that the content is being streamed in ASF format, which is patent-protected by Microsoft, so Android doesn't have a decoder for it.

I can confirm the stream works on the iPhone version of Wunder Radio so it should work on the Android version. (Waiting for a HTC Hero to play about with) :)

Just search for the link in the search bar and it finds the station 'Kringvarp Foroya: Beinleiois utvarp.

Wunder Radio - Android app on AppBrain

Don't know if there are cheaper radio apps out there.

Finally figured out that Wunder Ra<dio is a pay-app, thats why is didn't show up in the market on the first place. And yes it does work.

Well since it does work on Andriod, there got to be a free app that can play that station as well, or what?
