Root stripped cm7

is there a way we could get a stripped down rooted 2.3.6 ROM no fancy cm7 settings?

Follow the instructions on that page, and remove everything that is not necessary.

well thats apps and for the most part the preinstalled apps are stripped android with the addition of DSP manager terminal emulator and superuser

If you don't want the settings there's really no reason for the custom rom.

well it was just a recommendation.... some people may want gingerbread on there phones but dont need all the cm7 settings personally i love the status bar tweaks of jerrys they rock! but for people who may not like it like take the optimus S gb update and port it to the v

The Optimus S Gingerbread OTA update cannot be ported to the Optimus V. Believe me, we tried, and it's a very dangerous thing to even attempt. It's the only known way to truly brick an Optimus V, flashing software for a different phone, including the Optimus S Gingerbread OTA. It's the new radio that's the issue, there's no known way to make it compatible with ours.

I do have a port with the radio stripped out, but even that I have only shared with a handful of people due to the dangers involved. And to be honest, CM7 runs much smoother than it does.
