Yes it works so far. I'm testing this on zvd. redhook convinced me so here iam again testing to see lol if i get one reboot doing nothing outta the blue I'm going back to b lol

ps love the lock screen. some menus are black needs fixing but nice work Idrifta

That's weird this works for some and not others. Hmm..

Are you using a custom kernel with zvd?

Well that was posting in the other thread http://androidforums.com/esteem-all-things-root/493172-theme-rom-ldk-ick-zvb-zvc-ics-hybrid.html but I need to have my phone working by tonight. So i tried to update and I cant cause I am on the latest version zvd.

So I need help getting into cwm. I tried using aio tool and it wont work.

So, why did this work for him but me it wont? Why am I stuck in a boot loop?

Any help would be great I tried the key combo but I am not sure I am doing it right I mean I did what it said but nothing It boots normal I get to the ics boot screen and it just keeps boot looping.

Also tried to downgrade and cant get it to work I got it to work before but the dll wont register and I cant figure out how to do it the other way so ugh....

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Is there a way to get to boot loader mode like htc does? Thats how I used to get my hd2 out of a boot loop or soft brick.

I guess the moral of this story is dont flash a theme over zvd or this will happen. :( Well a theme not meant for zvd...

Well I am going to slam some beers and smoke a couple cigs play some mw3 and check this later.

Thanks.

well it took me forever to post this but with the lg softwere update tool,if you have two phones a brick and a working phone thats running sw version:ms910zba. you first plug you phone running sw version:ms910zba,turned off of course then when you get to the download part 3 of the process unplug the good phone then plug in the brick and it will fix the brick no matter what. me on the other hand got done dirty today my phone forced updated my phone to the latest version so my lil fix is over.hope this helps you guys......for god sakes were are the devs at?.......make the brick fix for this phone 91111111111

Seen this in another thread http://androidforums.com/lg-esteem/428883-bricked-lg-esteem.html#post3384772 So I am guessing this is the only fix for this until a tool is made?

Or just try and fool the lg update tool that would be sweet cause then you don't need another phone.

I updated with the lg tool as normal. did a wipe data, cache I download the ZVC IDK 1.7 Rom it comes with the 2.2 HDMI FIX Kernel I believe, installed it.

everything was running smooth for probably half n hours then i was just surfing the net everything froze up. had to do a hard shutdown went back to ZVB.

you said it's not a cwm bootloop not sure if exitrecovery will be of any use. try taken out the battery for a few second see if that helps. and if you have it try using the LGPNST tool to see if you are able to downgrade. I'm not an expert when it comes to these phones wish i could tell you more

This is what I did Press and hold both the volume keys. Then hit the power key as soon as you feel it vibrate let go of ONLY THE POWER KEY still holding the volume keys Then a menu will come up and ask to erase all data hit the power key to confirm and it should reboot into recovery! Hope this helps anyone having the same problem.

I don't know what else to do i've done EVERYTHING the power volume thing factory restore noting has worked i don't know what to do i just want to get to my home page and delete it myself but i don't know how... PLEASE someone help me..

hmm so you can't help? i'm freaking out seriously this is getting me kinda of frustrated i've tried everything i've seen online but i don't know what else to do... :(

No, I'm afraid I don't have much knowledge on rooting so that's why I moved your thread here so someone who knows can help you. :)

EDIT: Good luck. :)

I changed the start up thing on Some ROM app and all it does now is restart over and over again and it won't even go to the homescreen, i tried ALL the reset stuff and nothing has worked :\ .....

1. Turn the power off.
2. Press and hold both the following keys at the same time: Power/Lock Key + the Volume down Key + the Volume up Key.
3. Release only the Power key as soon as the phone vibrates, after about 3 seconds.
4. Release the Volume Keys when you see the screen message "Permanently Erase User Data & Reset Settings? Press the Power key to confirm and any other key to cancel." The first message will be displayed in 10 to 12 seconds.
5. Press the Power/Lock Key to confirm (or press any other key to cancel). When you press the Power/Lock Key to confirm, a pop-up appears asking "Are you sure you want to continue with erase?".
6. Press the Power/Lock Key and your phone will be restored to the factory settings. To cancel, press any other key.

if what you are talking about is permanently delete data then yes i have it didn't work i confirmed it it restarted and did what it was doing before, restarting over and over again... :(

did you pull out the battery then put it back in and press down the volume up and down and hold it, then press and hold the power button intell you fell the the vibrate and lg screen then release the power button and press it 3 times fast.

wat up blax u got it ;)

do you have Clockwork mod on your phone? if you do , when you try a hard reset does it go into it?

well with out clockwork mod on there that phone is pretty much screwed

when you root an android phone and before you mess with anything, you should always put clockwork mod on it
