Root Stuck on Bootloader

I'm stuck at the Bootloader screen for some reason. I took battery off and still coming back on to the Bootloader screen. Any ideas?

if that doesnt work,we need some more details of what you were doing,or trying to do.

are you saying that your phone only goes to the "hboot" screen no matter if you turn it on via power only,or power/vol down?

I was trying to remove the root. I did it on another Thunderbolt fine the other day. For some reason isnt reading the file. It wont go into recovery.

at the top of your hboot screen do you have a "***security warning***? if not, then continue.

did you root this thunderbolt manually? or with revolutionary? is your current situation s-off or s-on?

if you rooted manually, then you have(or had) the 1.04.2000 eng bootloader.

all you need to do if your bootloader is 1.04.2000 s-off is pull your sd card, put it in a card reader and jump to "putting current stock firmware and s-on back on the phone" in the unrooting directions here:
http://androidforums.com/thunderbol...ng-unrooting-methods-updated-9-23-2011-a.html (please follow them closely and carefully. the order you flash the files is important)

if you rooted with revolutionary, then youll need to follow all the directons to unroot, youll need to get rig of the revolutionary permanent hboot before flashing more files.

if you do have a ***security warning*** we need to know all the information on your hboot screen before reccomending an ruu to flash to fix.

I have HBOOT 1.04.0000. When I come up to Bootloader is fine, but when I try to load file if when I get the "security warning" message. I think I need to remove the file from sd card and try again. I just did the same procedure with another T-Bolt and work fine.

Now that you're s-on,you're limited to signed official htc ruus.

Replace whatever is on your SD card with an official signed MR2 ruu and run that. Sorry I cant link it at the moment,I at work.

Let us know if that works :)

Edit:search on android police for Mr2(1.70.605.0)

Someone in a similar situation downloaded from there and it worked for him.

if you place a PG05IMG file on the root of your sd card, there are only 2 reasons that its not seen:
1) your sd card is NOT formatted FAT32
2) you have not correctly named the file "PG05IMG.zip"

an extremely common error is to name the file "PG05IMG.zip" on a windows mahcine. since windows automatically adds and hides the file extension, the file actually becomes named "PG05IMG.zip.zip". try just naming the file "PG05IMG" if youre using windows.

here is where he downloaded it from:
[Exclusive Download] Leaked 1.70.605.0 Update For The HTC Thunderbolt (No, It's Not Gingerbread)

edit
if its finding and unzipping the file, then not asking you to update,it is finding something it doesnt like inside-maybe a wrong or corrupt image. redownload,or download from a different source. make sure you verify the md5. trying to flash a corrupt PG05IMG can lead to worse things than not asking to update. be glad that is whats happening at the moment.
